Next stop: Korea!

Well, Canada, that was fun for the most part, but I’ll heading out to Seoul pretty soon for a month and a half. Hangul (Korean language) has an awesome alphabet that’s easy to learn, but I’m having massive problems learning the language itself. A lot of letters change their sound depending on where they are in the word really makes things difficult. But I know English is even harder for foreigners to learn due to all the wacky language and spelling rules that we have.

I’ve been asked how I can afford all these trips, the truth is with the cost of renting a small furnished place in Canada for one month, I get the same in Korea for 45 days….including a one way flight. Why anyone who has a choice stays in Canada renting is beyond me. I understand most are tied down to jobs or family though.

To be honest, although I’ve been two times for a week each on tours with the band in the past, I’m really going into this pretty blind. I only have a couple friends there and they’re nowhere near where I’m staying. So, it’ll be a bit of a trial by fire. Anyone reading this who happens to reside there and wants to hang out, or just want to leave a few tips for living there, give a shout! Gamsahamnida!
